President Obama made an unprecedented visit to the Senate on Sunday–or rather, to the Senate Democrats– to help the Dems push their currently impacted version of healthcare “reform.”
Here’s what happened:
The White House says President Obama thanked Senators for their work so far and reiterated the importance of bringing affordable coverage to the uninsured, and keeping costs down for families and small businesses.
Gee, that visit accomplished a lot! And here’s what Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said at around the time of President Obama’s visit:
“Republicans are being destructive,” said Reid. “They want this to be … President Obama’s Waterloo and it’s not going to be.”
Wow! We certainly hope no one will try to exile the president to St. Helena after this Sunday visit!
