Washington, D.C. — Independent Women's Voice today announced that Matthew Szewczyk, creator of the video "The Millennial Appeal to Obama," is the winner of the $5,000 first prize in the Independent Women's Voice (IWV) ObamaCare Anniversary Video Contest.

1st Place: "The Millennial Appeal to Obama"

"Congratulations are in order for Matthew Szewczyk," said IWV President and CEO Heather Higgins.  "His video was original, compelling and laid out the ill effects of ObamaCare on jobs and the Millennial generation."

Drew McCullough took 2nd place and won $2,500 for the video "Health Care Solutions," and Robert Jacobus won 3rd place and $1,000 for the video "ObamaCare Kids."  "The Individual Mandate is Unconstitutional" creators Seth Goldin and Rob Raffety took the $500 honorable mention prize.

"All of these videos were outstanding submissions that speak from the heart, citizen to citizen.  Almost all of the videos were made by ordinary Americans who care deeply about the future of health care and wanted to concisely and effectively communicate the reality of how dangerous ObamaCare is to not only our health care system, but to individual liberty as well," noted Higgins. 

In all, 32 videos were submitted to IWV's ObamaCare Anniversary Video Contest.  A panel of expert judges narrowed the field to 8 finalists.  The contest's winners were determined by the same panel, taking into account a number of factors, including strength of message, production value, creativity and the amount of online popular votes garnered by each finalist.

"As we mark the one-year anniversary of the signing of this government take-over of private health care decisions into law, all the videos submitted remind us of just some of the many harms that will be inflicted upon the American health care system and people through ObamaCare," concluded Higgins.  "Thank you to everyone who submitted a video and congratulations to our winners."
