Tell Congress to Keep the IRS off your Health Care

Later this week, the House of Representatives will vote on a bill sponsored by Congressman Tom Price (R-Ga.) that would remove the Internal Revenue Service from any role in implementing ObamaCare.

The IRS — already one of the most powerful government bureaucracies known to man — has been empowered under ObamaCare as the enforcement army to ensure compliance with President Obama's new health care law. The Government Accountability Office has reported that ObamaCare provides the IRS with no fewer than 47 new powers to enforce the law.

It was only a few months ago that we learned how the IRS was illegally targeting conservative and Tea Party groups for extra scrutiny in their applications for tax exempt status. This was a clear cut abuse of power.

You know as well as we do that giving the IRS new powers to enforce ObamaCare is an open invitation for more abuse of power and more harassment of American citizens.
