Washington, D.C. — Following their primary victories in Arizona last night, Independent Women's Voice President & CEO Heather R. Higgins released the following statement:

"I want to congratulate Rep. Paul Gosar (R-5), Rep. David Schweikert (R-6), and Rep. Trent Franks (R-8) on their respective primary victories last night.  The Repeal Pledge was designed as a litmus test to help the American public understand which candidates and office holders are serious about repeal, versus those who claim to be but won't actually take action.  All Arizonans can be certain these three are fully committed to ObamaCare repeal because they have put pen to paper and signed the Repeal Pledge.

"ObamaCare is collapsing across the country.  Insurers are abandoning state exchanges, and twenty percent of the American people will have only one ObamaCare insurance option.  Premiums are spiking, especially in Arizona where BlueCross BlueShield is seeking as much as a 64.9% increase.  The writing is on the wall: we must fully and completely repeal ObamaCare and replace it with market-based solutions that make health care affordable and accessible to all Americans.

"Independent Women's Voice wishes Reps. Gosar, Schweikert, and Franks well as they take forward their campaigns into the fall election."

The Repeal Pledge is a project of Independent Women's Voice, a 501(c)(4) nonpartisan, nonprofit organization.
