Roswell, GA — Today, Independent Women’s Voice announced that Kurt Wilson (R-GA) has signed the ObamaCare Repeal Pledge. Wilson is a candidate for U.S. House in the special election in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District.

"Kurt Wilson’s decision to take Pledge shows voters that, when it comes to health care, he gets it,” said Heather Higgins, President and CEO of Independent Women's Voice.

“Kurt understands the harm that ObamaCare has already caused and will continue to cause if it's not turned back.  He recognizes that ObamaCare hurts seniors and increases costs for families.  Moreover, he knows that ObamaCare means bigger government and less freedom, places government bureaucrats between doctors and their patients, and reduces our choice and control in health care decisions."

"America has been clear with its mandate, repeal Obamacare," said Wilson. "Replace was something Washington came up with on its own. The reality is the Republicans have tried to monopolize healthcare and Democrats have tried to nationalize healthcare. Both have been negative for the American consumer, the American economy and for the healthcare system itself. Its time to change our whole perspective. What really needs to be done requires political courage. We need to repeal Obamacare. It is a good idea that we want to help those who need to be helped, but nationalizing healthcare isn’t the answer. Its time for our representatives to start listening to the people, instead of serving other interests.”

"The Repeal Pledge was designed as a litmus test to help the American public understand which candidates and office holders are serious about repeal, versus those who claim to be but won't actually take action," continued Higgins.  "With this commitment, Kurt Wilson passes that test."
