new proposal from Sen. Ted Cruz not only could bring the Senate's health care reform bill closer to passing, but it could also be a huge benefit for consumers victimized by ObamaCare's rising prices.

Because of ObamaCare's onerous mandates and regulations, insurance companies currently can't offer the policies people actually want.

Sen. Cruz's proposal would:

  • Free up companies to offer affordable plans that cover what people want covered, without layering in mandated coverage that's expensive and that customers don't want.
  • Lower premiums for Americans who need relief from ObamaCare's rising prices.

Right now, if an insurance company sells a noncompliant insurance policy, they can be charged a $100 per day penalty. That's outrageous.

It's critical that we support the Senate's effort to empower Americans to choose the health care plan that's right for them and their families.
