Senators are now considering adding repeal of the Affordable Care Act's (ACA) individual mandate to the tax reform legislation. As Washington Examiner reports:
"We are optimistic that inserting the individual mandate repeal will be helpful," Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told reporters. "And that is obviously the view of the Senate Finance Committee Republicans as well."
Repealing the individual mandate would actually SAVE the government money.
How is this possible?
- Fewer people would enroll in subsidized ACA plans and
- Fewer people would enroll in Medicaid,
- Costing the government less in spending.
What does it say about the ACA that, absent a mandate, fewer people would want to sign up? Even with subsidies?

It's a win-win-win:
- More freedom,
- Lower taxes, and
- Government savings.
