Bo Derek, Alana Stewart, Capri Cafaro, Danielle McLaughlin, and Heidi Ganahl Join Champion Women Movement as Ambassadors

Washington, DC — Champion Women today announced that Bo Derek, Alana Stewart, Capri Cafaro, Danielle McLaughlin, and Heidi Ganahl have joined the movement as digital ambassadors. From actress to political representative and animal welfare advocate to lawyer, together, with a host of women from across the political spectrum, these women are setting the bar for more civility and respect in today’s national discourse.

“Champion Women is proud to welcome this impressive group of female leaders in our ranks,” said Tammy Bruce, president of Independent Women’s Voice. “It’s no secret that women on both sides of the aisle are regularly dismissed or mocked for their looks, instead of evaluated on the merit of their ideas. We’re grateful for the support of Bo Derek, Capri Cafaro, Alana Stewart, and Danielle McLaughlin, all of whom share our belief that all women—regardless of background, political affiliation, and perspective—should be treated with dignity and respect.”

Bo Derek is an actress, activist, and businesswoman who has advocated on behalf of many issues, including veterans and animal welfare.

Capri Cafaro is a former Democratic member of the Ohio State Senate and currently an Executive-in-Residence in the School of Public Affairs at American University, frequent television policy analyst, and licensed social worker who has championed a range of economic and healthcare issues.

Alana Stewart is an actress, emmy-nominated filmmaker, and New York Times best-selling author. She is the recipient of the John Wayne Cancer Center's "True Grit" Humanitarian Award and the American Women in Radio and Television’s Genii Award for excellence in documentary filmmaking. Additionally, Alana serves as president of The Farrah Fawcett Foundation which funds cancer research and supports those fighting cancer.

Danielle McLaughlin is an author, attorney, columnist, and political and legal commentator who appears regularly on Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, MSNBC, and other major news outlets.

Heidi Ganahl is the founder of Camp Bow Wow, a $100 million leader in the pet and franchise industry hitting the Inc. 500/5000 list 5 years in a row. She now devotes her time to keeping the American dream alive by empowering women through her brand the SheFactor, leading her social entrepreneurship incubator the Fight Back Foundation, leading a free speech initiative on college campuses, the Free to Be Coalition, and sharing her stories through public speaking.
