If you presently find yourself in need of a break from politics, here is an inspiring, heartwarming story that will put a smile on your face.
Rodney Smith, Jr. drives around the country mowing lawns for those who need it, including veterans, single mothers, the elderly and disabled people, at no charge. Sometimes, even if he hasn't been asked, he does what he calls a "mow by," where he cuts an individual’s lawn even if they’re not home.
Rodney recently mowed his way through all 50 states. He says he did it to “make a difference, one lawn at a time.”
Talk about an act of kindness. What an inspiration!
Rodney’s group, Raising Men Lawn Care Service, invites kids to take the “50 Yard Challenge.” Once you cut 50 lawns for free for the elderly, disabled, single mothers, and the veterans in your town, you are given a free lawn mower. This in turn can enable someone to start their own lawn care business if they choose to do so.
