Surprise, AZ — Independent Women’s Voice announced that Representative Debbie Lesko has signed the Free Speech Pledge. Congresswoman Lesko, who represents Arizona’s Eighth Congressional District, promises to protect free speech and the ability of all Americans to speak, protest, and express their opinions publicly.

The Pledge lets voters know which lawmakers are committed to using their office to defend Americans’ rights to speak freely and protest peacefully, and to ensure that large platforms and services apply their rules consistently and do not engage in viewpoint discrimination against users.

“Rep. Lesko’s decision to take the pledge shows she understands how essential the right to free speech is for every American,” said Heather R. Higgins, CEO of Independent Women’s Voice. “Taking the Pledge clearly demonstrates to Arizona voters her commitment to protecting that right.”

“I am proud to stand up for Americans’ right to freedom of speech and will continue to fight for this essential right in Congress,” Rep. Lesko said. “I thank Independent Women’s Voice for leading the charge to uphold the First Amendment and reject cancel culture.”
