NEW ORLEANS, LA – Today, Independent Women’s Network, a project of Independent Women’s Voice, launched its “UnMask Students” campaign in Louisiana. Currently, students in New Orleans, Louisiana are required to wear masks in schools, while students in other parts of the state are not subject to this mandate.
Carrie Lukas, member of Independent Women’s Network and mom of five, said, “It is time for Americans of all political stripes to unite in opposing mask mandates in schools. Study after study has suggested that masks have the potential to harm children’s development, as well as their emotional and mental health. Our ‘Unmask Campaign’ aims to put power back in parents’ hands, doing what they believe is best for their children.”
