President Biden has been in office since January 2021. As the leader of the free world, it is only fitting that we regularly assess his leadership skills and performance, and most importantly, establish an accurate picture of how the American people are faring today under his administration.

So how did President Biden do in 2022? Here’s an end-of-the-year snapshot of where things currently stand, broken down by subject area.

Economic Opportunity: F

Nearly 40-year-high inflation is leaving workers with an effective pay cut. Americans continue to suffer because of Washington’s reckless spending that needlessly juiced consumer demand when supply was clearly incapable of meeting it. Sadly, many are being forced to change their plans or forgo everyday goods and services.

The current administration refuses to acknowledge these errors or accept any responsibility for the dismal state of our economy, leaving Americans on their own to deal with rising prices. In fact, rather than focus efforts on slowing inflation, President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law which will FORCE inflation to climb and wages to sink.

Not only that, but at a time when American households desperately need more opportunities, not fewer, this administration is bent on upending flexible, independent work arrangements that women value and depend upon.

Championing Women: F

The policies of this administration put all women in jeopardy. In just the past year, we’ve seen: female athletes lose competitions and spots on athletic rosters to biological males; incarcerated women sexually assaulted and impregnated by males who have transferred into female prisons; and young women forced to share private spaces, including locker rooms, with fully intact males who identify as female.

There are legitimate reasons to distinguish between the sexes with respect to athletics, prisons or other detention facilities, domestic violence shelters, rape crisis centers, locker rooms, restrooms, and other areas where biology, safety, and/ or privacy are implicated; But on the 50th anniversary of Title IX, the Biden administration released new Title IX guidelines, redefining “sex” to mean “gender” and “gender identity.” In addition to erasing women, the new Title IX regulations also deny students their constitutional rights to due process and free speech.

If President Biden truly cares about women, he will reverse course. This means keeping women as a biologically-distinct category and ultimately leaning into the policies that will actually brighten women’s futures, not those that will reverse women’s progress.

Education Freedom: F

Our public schools are utterly failing American children. Sadly, learning loss, increasing rates of violence, and abysmal youth mental health are plaguing students and schools.

It’s no surprise that families are fleeing the public school system in droves. To ensure this doesn’t happen again, it’s time to fund students, not systems, and develop policies that allow a wide variety of education options to flourish. Unfortunately, this administration continues to prioritize unions and bureaucrats over students.

Energy Prosperity: F

Before President Biden’s radical environmental policies crippled U.S. oil production, the United States was energy independent and a leader in environmental progress and emissions reduction.

This president has discouraged the domestic oil industry, while begging foreign nations in OPEC for more oil. We need affordable and reliable energy that doesn’t depend on unfriendly foreign nations. The administration should encourage nuclear power and American innovation instead of relying on foreign nations for our reliable energy

Thanks to climate alarmism and demands of activist groups, the Biden administration continues to pursue “net zero” goals that have driven up the cost of gas.

Safety and National Security: F

The crisis at the southern border is a crisis of epic proportions, exacerbated by the open border policies of the Biden administration that have encouraged thousands of migrants to enter the United States illegally, harming migrants and citizens alike. Children are being abandoned by smugglers, people are losing their lives, criminal enterprises are flooding the border with dangerous illicit drugs, and health concerns still abound.

Public safety is one of the primary responsibilities of the government. The recent rise in violent crime in America has wreaked havoc on many, particularly those in our poorest and most vulnerable neighborhoods. Unfortunately, the Biden administration has failed to take the rise in violent crime in America seriously. Why isn’t the administration doing more work with law enforcement to crack down on violence?

When it comes to foreign policy, there’s no question that the world is heading in a bad direction. The Biden administration’s mix of confusion, delusion, and cowardice failed to deter Putin from invading Ukraine. It will be difficult for the U.S. to ever recover the credibility and clout it needs to peacefully deter others.

A top priority is the rebuilding of the U.S. military focused on deterring and winning wars, rather than social issues and eco-fuels. It is also vital that the Biden administration stop negotiating with America’s most dangerous adversaries, including the governments of Iran and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Final Grade: F

Overall, the Biden administration deserves a failing grade for 2022.
