COLUMBUS, OH — Today, Independent Women’s Voice (IWV) celebrates Bernie Moreno, U.S. Senate candidate for Ohio, for his Hope Agenda Stand With Women Commitment and support of legislation that preserves women’s equal opportunities and single-sex spaces.
By signing IWV’s Stand With Women Commitment, Bernie Moreno promises “to uphold legislation that preserves female opportunities and private spaces.”
The Stand With Women Commitment is part of IWV’s Hope Agenda to offer solutions on some of the most important issues that women, as well as Independents, Hispanics, and younger Americans, care deeply about and want addressed.

Words like ‘female’, ‘male’, ‘man’, and ‘woman’ are used thousands of times in state and federal law. Unelected judges and bureaucrats are unilaterally redefining sex-based terms and expanding the scope of sex discrimination laws already on the books. When these sex-based words don’t have uniform, biological definitions, women pay the price.
The Stand with Women Commitment lets constituents know who is pro-woman, pro-science, and will fight for policies that prevent sex discrimination and preserve women’s rights, safety, and opportunities.
