Even celebrity businessman Mark Cuban, a visible surrogate for Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign, today admitted the truth about inflation—and he contradicted Harris herself.
Contrary to Harris’ false claims, Cuban noted during a CNBC interview that America’s recent record high inflation—around 20% since cumulatively President Biden and Harris entered the White House—was not caused by “price gouging” from businesses.
Instead, to a large degree, it came from massive government stimulus spending. This includes multi-trillion dollar legislation that Harris cast a tie-breaking vote on—programs that are now raiding Medicare Part D to fund. Excessive government spending massively inflated the money supply, causing existing money to devalue.
CNBC host Joe Kernen correctly identified that Harris and co. are “not being truthful with this and they’re trying to deflect blame to corporations because of their record.”
Ironically, Harris’ false claims beg the question: if price gouging caused inflation, why was President Trump so much more effective at preventing price gouging, given how inflation was far lower and more sustainable for families?
The chart above with data on household wealth from the Federal Reserve Board illustrates just how much more incompetent the Biden-Harris White House has been. As the Committee To Unleash Prosperity (CTUP) notes, household wealth nominally increased by 25% under Joe Biden’s presidency.
“That’s a decent number and only a little lower than the 37% under Trump,” CTUP writes. “Except…when we adjust for inflation we see a big difference. Almost all the wealth gains under Biden are due to inflation. Under Trump almost all of the gains were real increases in wealth. This is a big deal for seniors who live off of the returns on their lifetime savings.”
The chart above, from The Wall Street Journal, of data published by CTUP from the latest Census report shows just how much more effective Trumponomics would be over Kamalanomics—because the Biden White House says there’s no daylight between Harris and Biden on policy.
U.S. Census data illustrates that all major racial groups—African Americans, Caucasians, Hispanics, and Asians—experienced wider income gains under President Trump than Biden-Harris.
Americans have a clear policy choice in just a few weeks: greater wealth or less wealth. Vote accordingly.
