WASHINGTON, D.C. —  Since its launch by Independent Women’s Voice, The Riley Gaines Stand with Women Scorecard continues to inform voters on who stands with women and who does not and make an impact on key campaigns. Several candidates have issued statements of support for the scorecard:

Dave McCormick, Candidate for U.S. Senate (PA) said: “Riley Gaines is a strong advocate for women across our country who deserve a fair playing field. Bob Casey supports biological men competing in women’s sports. It’s wrong — and as a dad to six girls, I’m proud to stand up for integrity and fairness in women’s sports.”

Bernie Moreno, Candidate for U.S. Senate (OH) and Stand with Women Commitment Signer said: “Proud to defend and support women. Thank you Riley Gaines for fighting for common sense!”

Lily Tang Williams, candidate for U.S. House (R-NH) and Stand with Women Commitment Signer, said: “Growing up in Communist China, I was cancelled as a woman and not allowed to show my femininity. That is why I am so proud to earn the Riley Gaines Stand with Women Scorecard recognition that reflects my promise to always protect women’s sports, opportunities, safety, and privacy. I will not stand by and allow the left to diminish women by allowing biological men to compete against female athletes. It’s not right.”

Mike France, candidate for U.S. House (R-CT) and Stand with Women Commitment signer, said: “I first got involved in giving back to my community by volunteering with my daughters’ swim team. I have seen first-hand the incredibly hard work young girls perform to achieve their athletic dreams and I absolutely cannot stomach the idea of those dreams being crushed by biological males. Beyond competitive athletics, though, is the safety and privacy rights of women and girls, not only on the playing field, but also in locker rooms and public accommodations like restrooms. I am proud to sign the Stand with Women Commitment and pledge to support common sense legislation that preserves opportunities and private spaces for women.”

Rep. Jen Kiggans (R-VA), said: As a lifelong runner and mother to female athletes, I’m proud to stand up and fight to protect women’s sports. Thank you to Riley Gaines and IWV for your support! Together, we can ensure that all female athletes have the opportunity to participate in FAIR competition.”

Rep. Juan Ciscomani (R-AZ) said: “I am honored to have the support of the Independent Women’s Voice and the Riley Gaines ‘Stand With Women’ scorecard for my commitment to safeguarding the safety and privacy rights of women and girls!”

Neil Young, candidate for U.S. House (R-PA), said: “As a lifetime teacher, coach, and father, I am grateful for the work of Riley Gaines and the Independent Women’s Voice as they protect our daughters in the classrooms, bathrooms, and in sports. While my Congressional opponent wants our daughters to be eligible to be drafted off to war, I want to make sure that our battle is for the safety of our girls.”

Joseph Belnome, candidate for U.S. House (R-NJ), said: “Ensuring a level playing field means keeping women’s sports fair and women’s spaces—like locker rooms and bathrooms—safe. This isn’t just common sense; it’s about respecting boundaries and protecting opportunities for female athletes. I’m proud to have a perfect score on the Riley Gaines Scorecard and to stand firmly for fairness and integrity in women’s sports.”

In case you missed it, here’s what media is saying about The Riley Gaines Stand With Women Scorecard:

Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade on Fox & Friends

“The Independent Women’s Voice launching the Riley Gaines Stand with Women Scorecard is happening today. It’ll rate every candidate for federal office on whether they intend to support and protect female opportunities, not just in sports.”

Fox News: Riley Gaines unveils accountability scorecard for political candidates’ stances on women’s sex-based rights

The scorecard has three factors that will contribute to their approved score. To earn an approved score, a candidate signed the Stand with Women Commitment or publicly declared their support for female-only sports and acknowledged the differences between males and females. Congressional incumbents who supported the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act or voted to repeal the current White House administration’s Title IX rewrite will earn an approved score. Senate incumbents who receive an approved score must have co-sponsored the Congressional Review Act and/or voted to have a floor vote on the Protections of Women and Girls in sports Act.

OutKick: Riley Gaines, IWV Team Up To Create Scorecard That Shows Americans Which Politicians Support Women

With some very important elections nearing in the United States in November, OutKick’s Riley Gaines has teamed up with Independent Women’s Voice to create the “Riley Gaines Stand With Women Scorecard.” According to the release from IWV, “The Riley Gaines Stand with Women Scorecard is a first-of-its-kind resource that tells every American who Stands with Women and who does not.” In addition, the scorecard “scores every candidate for federal office on whether they intend to support legislation that preserves female opportunities and private spaces. This tool will hold leaders accountable for their votes and stances on women’s sex-based rights.”

OutKick: Katy Stamper Becomes First Democratic Candidate To Sign Riley Gaines’ ‘Stand With Women Scorecard’

Katy Stamper, a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives for Georgia, has signed Riley Gaines’ “Stand With Woman Scorecard” — making her the first person running on a Democratic ticket to do so. The Scorecard is a first-of-its-kind resource that scores every candidate for federal office on whether they intend to support legislation that preserves female opportunities and private spaces. The goal of this tool is to hold leaders accountable for their votes and stances on women’s sex-based rights.

The Center Square: Congressional Democratic candidate stands with women

All summer, tennis legend and staunch Democratic supporter Martina Navratilova said protecting women’s sports wasn’t partisan. A Georgia Democratic candidate for Congress agrees. Katy Stamper, trying to unseat five-term Republican U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk in the 11th Congressional District, on Wednesday added her name to the Stand With Women Commitment led by former collegiate All-American swimmer Riley Gaines. Stamper is a professed independent, according to her social media page, running as a Democrat.

Washington Times: Republicans look for campaign edge by calling out Democrats on gender-identity issues

The right-tilting Independent Women’s Voice clearly thinks the issue has legs. The organization launched on Sept. 18 the Riley Gaines Stand With Women Scorecard, a candidate-ranking system based on their positions on the single-sex sports issue. “The Riley Gaines Stand With Women Scorecard provides needed accountability and measures the degree to which candidates and elected officials will fight against erasing the realities of women and girls,” said IWV CEO Heather Higgins. “It is time Americans have this information.” Those receiving a green “RG Approved” sticker included former President Donald Trump, while Vice President Kamala Harris was given a red “X.”

BACKGROUND:

Independent Women’s Voice (IWV) is proud to introduce The Riley Gaines Stand With Women Scorecard as a first-of-its-kind resource that scores every candidate for federal office on whether they intend to support legislation that preserves female opportunities and private spaces. In partnering with Riley Gaines, ambassador for Independent Women’s Voice, the scorecard will help raise widespread awareness to the public and hold policymakers accountable for standing up against the increasing threats to women’s rights, opportunities, and spaces.

The scorecard has three factors that contribute to an “approved” score:

  1. Candidates that have signed the Stand with Women Commitment or publicly declared their support for female-only sports and acknowledged the differences between the two sexes;
  2. Congressional incumbents who have voted “YAY” to pass the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act” (H.J. Res. 165) and/or voted “YAY” to repeal the Biden-Harris administration’s illegal administrative rewrite of Title IX (H.R. 734);
  3. Senate incumbents must have co-sponsored the Congressional Review Act resolution to strike down the Biden administration’s unlawful Title IX regulation (S.J. Res. 9) and/or voted to allow the “Protections of Women and Girls in Sports Act” from having a floor vote.

Following election day, the Riley Gaines Stand With Women Scorecard will transition from scoring candidates to scoring the incoming congressional class based on their votes in Congress, as part of a continual effort to hold leaders accountable for safeguarding women’s sex-based rights.
