PHILADELPHIA, PA Independent Women’s Voice (IWV) champions President Donald J. Trump, Senator-elect David McCormick and Congressional members who’s pro-woman election victories in Pennsylvania follow IWV’s pivotal “Stand With Women: Equality Is Not A Game” campaign and event in Philadelphia, which captured the attention of millions in the final weeks leading up to the election.

Independent Women’s Voice’s “Stand With Women” campaign focused on the dangerous denial of objective truth and the attack on women’s rights to single-sex spaces and equal opportunities—including the right to compete in women-only sports—and informed the public that we need leaders who will stand up for women and say ‘no more.’ Independent Women’s Voice’s  work brought the topic mainstream — the organization’s groundwork laid the foundation for the way these issues matter in Pennsylvania, and elsewhere across the nation.

Women’s equality was not just a sleeper issue in this election, but the game changer culminating in historic victories across the entire country for women’s sports and women’s spaces.

IWV applauds key congressional wins in Pennsylvania, in addition to historic turnout in bellwether counties – Erie and Bucks. With members-elect that stand with women securing a majority in the U.S. Senate and poised to hold a majority in the U.S. House, it is resoundingly clear that Americans want leaders who will fight for policies that preserve female opportunities and private spaces, including sports.

After three upset elections, Pennsylvania’s incoming congressional delegation has a majority representation of members who Stand with Women. In Pennsylvania’s 7th and 8th congressional districts, conservatives unseated incumbents who had failed scores on Independent Women’s Voice’s Riley Gaines Stand with Women scorecard. David McCormick unseated Bob Casey, who also had a failed score after voting against keeping men out of women’s sports.

President Trump secured victories in 58 of the Keystone State’s 67 counties, including Bucks, Northampton and Erie Counties, all of which Biden won in 2020. Bucks County flipped red for the first time since 1988. Just over a week before Election Day, Bucks County became a major focus in Independent Women’s Voice’s campaign efforts to reach persuadable audiences, including women and their families.

In addition to President Trump’s electoral victory in Pennsylvania, candidates who demonstrated to Pennsylvania voters that they are listening and are committed to policies that protect safety and fair competition for all won their elections, including Senator-Elect Dave McCormick and Representatives Brian Fitzpatrick, Dan Meuser, Scott Perry, Lloyd Smucker, John Joyce, Guy Reschenthaler, G.T. Thompson, Mike Kelly, Ryan MacKenzie, and Rob Bresnahan. All of the incumbent candidates earned approved scores on the Riley Gaines Stand With Women Scorecard and all three upset wins unseated members who had “failed” ratings on the scorecard.

Of all the candidates running for federal office with “approved” scores on the Riley Gaines Stand with Women Scorecard, 87% (and counting) have won their elections.

About the Riley Gaines Stand With Women Scorecard, Pennsylvania Senator-Elect Dave McCormick said: “Riley Gaines is a strong advocate for women across our country who deserve a fair playing field. As a dad to six girls, I’m proud to stand up for integrity and fairness in women’s sports.”

The Stand With Women Pennsylvania event held just over a week before Election Day—led by Independent Women’s Voice Ambassador Riley Gaines, host of “Gaines for Girls” on OutKick, and Tulsi Gabbard, a former Hawaii congresswoman, 2020 presidential candidate, and lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve—featured fireside chats to underscore the problems that women and girls face in their own sports and spaces today and the need for strong leaders who will stand with women and advance measures to ensure future generations of girls don’t suffer. (Quotes from all event speakers can be found here).

During a fireside chat with Gabbard, Meghan McCain, who has a long history of supporting marriage equality and gay rights, emphasized that being pro-woman and believing in women-only sports isn’t bigoted and doesn’t mean you’re anti-anyone. McCain and Gabbard discussed the fear-mongering and cancellation happening in today’s society and, as a result, the self-inflicting censorship many people experience who believe men shouldn’t be in women’s sports.

The message of “Stand With Women” captured the attention of Pennsylvania voters, emphasizing that leaders can stand for both equality and women’s sex-based rights.

Independent Women’s Voice will continue to hold leaders accountable for protecting women’s rights by scoring the incoming congress on the Riley Gaines Stand With Women Scorecard based on their votes in the next legislative session.
