PHILADELPHIA, PA — Today, Independent Women’s Voice (IWV) celebrates a historic and pro-woman election outcome in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, which flipped red for the first time since 1988. Just a week ahead of Election Day, IWV held a pivotal “Stand With Women: Equality Is Not A Game” event in Philadelphia, which drew hundreds of Philadelphia suburban women and families and empowered voters in Bucks County to reject harmful anti-woman policies and support leaders who stand with women and girls.

Over the past four years, Independent Women’s Voice has been at the forefront of making the protection of women’s spaces a key issue for Americans nationwide. Thanks to IWV’s critical efforts to reach persuadable audiences, including women and families in Bucks County, women’s equality was the game-changer for President Trump’s electoral victory in battleground Pennsylvania.

The Stand With Women Pennsylvania event—led by Independent Women’s Voice Ambassador Riley Gaines, host of “Gaines for Girls” on OutKick, and Tulsi Gabbard, a former Hawaii congresswoman, 2020 presidential candidate, and lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve—underscored how women’s rights to single-sex spaces and opportunities, including the right to compete in women-only sports competitions, have been under attack.

“We have seen the attack on women, and we have seen the attack on objective truth,” Gaines told the studio audience.

In addition to the large-scale event, IWV ran a successful ad campaign, driving over 1.2 million targeted text messages and reaching nearly half a million through social media ads, in Bucks County and the surrounding geographic area to remind voters that we need leaders who stand with women.

The results in Bucks County showed that Americans are fed up with it. Professional athletes, advocates, and thought leaders at the event like Meghan McCain, Sage Steele, and many more declared that leaders can be both pro-woman and pro-equality.

The Stand With Women Pennsylvania message captured the attention of key voters in Bucks County. These voters showed up at the polls to express their support for candidates who will fight to protect women’s opportunities, privacy, and safety.

IWV will continue to advance pro-woman policies in the next four years and beyond, and will continue to hold leaders accountable for protecting women’s rights by scoring the incoming Congress on the Riley Gaines Stand With Women Scorecard based on their votes in the next legislative session.
