Moms and dads across the country have had to watch as their daughters compete with male athletes identifying as girls. We know that male athletes, even with hormone suppression, have immutable athletic advantages over women, such as greater lung capacity and wingspan, greater strength and endurance, and so much more.

You don’t have to look far to see examples. IW Features, a brand new website featuring real stories of people who have been negatively impacted by public policy and dangerous ideology, has dozens of examples. Michael Lee made the difficult choice to take his daughter out of gymnastics after finding out there was a male in her girls-only team; Rita Larson’s daughter lost her state championship spot due to a transgender-identifying male runner taking first place; at the Junior Olympics, Elizabeth Wilson’s daughter lost the 1600-meter race to a trans-identifying male runner by about seven seconds. Cynthia Monteleone not only competed against a male runner who identified as a woman but watched as her high school daughter was forced to compete against a male during her first (and only) race that year, in a season cut short due to COVID lockdowns. The males-in-women’s-spaces issue has even gone so far as to impact Irish dance competitions.

All of this will only become easier and more commonplace with the new Title IX rewrite, released by the Biden-Harris Department of Education in April, which went into effect on August 1, paused only in those states and schools with plaintiffs brave enough to challenge it.

Turning the clock back 50 years, not caring about women’s rights, privacy, safety, and opportunities, has become the civil rights issue of today. There is a concerted effort to change the way we think about sex differences, and, buying into the lunacy, terms like “gender identity” have been invented and thrust upon us.

The Biden-Harris attempt to unilaterally change the meaning of sex—which is a biological reality—to a self-declared identity, is madness and is the most dangerous aspect of the unlawful rewrite. Sex is not subjective—and requiring schools to allow males to lay claim to women’s spaces is unconscionable.

Yet, this new experiment that is completely unscientific has made its way into federal regulation. Male students can choose their bathrooms and locker rooms and pick what athletic team to play on, and girls are forced to accept it. The Title IX rewrite purposefully discriminates against the females it originally sought to protect.

As I have shared on national television and in events across the country, I’ve experienced this discrimination first-hand, and I’ve committed to fighting for the integrity of women’s sports.

But this goes beyond sports and scholarships; the Biden-Harris redefinition of sex discrimination harms childhood development by indoctrinating children in their most impressionable years with the progressive Left’s radical gender agenda. Make no mistake: this is a battleground for America’s youth. What a bizarre notion to teach youth to question the fundamental facts of their biology.

If this anti-woman rewrite stands, and effectively changes the interpretation of sex-based words in law, our nation will be on a trajectory that will devastate not only women but also our vulnerable young girls and boys. I refuse to stand for this. I want my future daughters and granddaughters to have the same opportunities as the generation that went before them.

Over 70% of Americans want the same; that percentage says only females should be allowed on women’s and girls’ sports teams. Yet, every incumbent Democrat running for re-election has failed to support legislation that preserves female opportunities and private spaces. There is no reason this issue should be split along party lines.

Similarly, in an attempt to overturn the unlawful Title IX revision this year, the House of Representatives passed a Congressional Review Act (CRA) joint resolution—despite 40 Senate cosponsors, the CRA failed to come to a vote in the Senate.

Do you know which of your leaders voted for the integrity of women’s spaces, and which did not?

It’s not too late to find out.

That’s why Independent Women’s Voice created the Riley Gaines Stand With Women Scorecard—a first-of-its-kind resource to show you whether candidates for federal office stand on the side of safety, common sense, and the integrity of women’s spaces. In Wisconsin, Tammy Baldwin (Senate incumbent) failed to stand with women—and Eric Hovde (Senate candidate) is Riley Gaines-Approved.

We want our kids and grandkids to have the same opportunities we had, and more. I encourage the Wisconsin people to visit the Riley Gaines Stand With Women Scorecard to know where your leaders stand.
