Gardner Coates is the Independent Women’s Network intern. She is a senior at Hillsdale College, where she is pursuing dual majors in French and English Literature. Gardner has demonstrated a strong commitment to policy and legislative affairs through a series of internships. Her experience includes roles with the State Policy Network, the Heritage Foundation, and a stint on Capitol Hill. These opportunities have provided Gardner with a comprehensive understanding of public policy and legislative processes.

Additionally, Gardner is currently preparing applications for law school, with the goal of working in constitutional law. Outside of her studies and professional endeavors, Gardner enjoys spending time with her little brother, traveling Europe, and reading the classics.
