Jennifer George spent the past 30 years as an attorney, business owner/consultant and trusted advisor, most recently employed as a Managing Counsel with the Office of University Counsel for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. After graduating with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, she practiced labor and employment law in Littler’s Dallas, Texas office and in the Colorado Springs, Colorado office of Sherman & Howard. Later, she started her own human resources consulting practice and became a co-owner of Employment Practices Solutions, LLC. where she investigated workplace misconduct, conducted employment practices training, developed personnel policies and manuals, and provided expert witness testimony of employment practices matters, all on behalf of employers.
In 2012, Jennifer ran for the Colorado State House of Representatives in one of that election cycle’s most targeted state races. She also became an alumnus of the Leadership Program of the Rockies at that time.
Jennifer actively pursues civic and community involvement. As an appointee of former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, she served on the Colorado 4th Judicial District Nominating Commission. She also volunteered on a local county government citizen budgetary oversight advisory board and various nonprofit entities, serving leadership roles on the Board of Directors for Goodwill of Southern and Western Colorado and The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center Board of Trustees, including two years as Chair.
Jennifer is married to Jeff George, and they have two adult daughters and one beloved old schnoodle.
