Judy Pino is the Spanish-language spokesperson for the Independent Women’s Forum and Independent Women’s Voice. She is an award-winning journalist with over 20 years of experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors. She has appeared in both English and Spanish-language top-tier media including: Fox, MSNBC, CNN, Miami Herald, Univision, and Telemundo.

Born in Cuba, Judy immigrated with her family to Miami, Florida as a child. She began working in television at the age of 17 hosting a talk show addressing issues affecting teens for the local ABC affiliate WPLG-10. Judy has worked as assignment editor, print journalist, TV reporter and producer, and eventually became the youngest news director in Miami. She went on to anchor the news at WJAN-41 AmericaTeve and received “The Communicator Award” for her reporting from Guantanamo Military Base in Cuba. 

Judy served in government as Hispanic Media Liaison at the Pentagon for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and as Executive Producer at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Washington DC, where she won an “Aurora” and a “Telly” for two environmental film documentaries produced and directed by her. She is also a recipient of the EPA Gold Medal of Excellence.

Judy directed marketing and press operations for the public litigation firm, New Civil Liberties Alliance (2018-2023) in Washington, D.C. and currently runs strategic marketing operations for The LIBRE Initiative, a nonprofit organization focused on advocating for freedom-minded solutions to the most pressing issues impacting Hispanics in the U.S. 

Judy is a graduate from the University of Miami with a B.S. degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science and has a Masters in Marketing degree from Florida International University.

Judy resides in Virginia with her husband and two young children.
