I don’t have that much to share, only the profound gratitude that I went to school—and my kids went to school—during a time when teachers seemed to love their jobs, the Constitution and American civics were part of the curriculum and were taught according to the facts, and the Pledge of Allegiance was part of the day. What’s going on right now is atrocious. We are raising entire generations of people who have a skewed version of American history, the heart of Americans in general and who hate our country, which IS the best on the planet. I don’t know if I wish I had kids in school now so that I had a “right” to get involved or if I should just stay grateful that I don’t have to. Since I don’t and my grandkids are only babies, I’ll just stay involved in politics to the point where I feel fighting the good fight from that standpoint will trickle down to the schools. That said, ALL parents should have the choice to send their kids to the best school they can. Or to home school them without being given “attitude.”
