Americans—particularly American women—need workplaces that offer a multitude of jobs and a wide variety of work arrangements. Government regulations are the enemy of a dynamic,
innovative workplace. By raising the cost of employment, government regulations make it more
difficult for businesses to offer jobs, create incentives for outsourcing, and make it less likely
that employers will offer workers flexible work arrangements.

IWV works to educate the public about how well-intentioned workplace regulations can
backfire, making it more difficult for Americans (particularly American women) to find jobs,
and makes the case that greater freedom and less regulation will lead to a more dynamic, diverse
workplace that offers a variety of attractive jobs.
